Granted, the original Xbox was pretty darn bulky, so it wasn't hard for the leaner, brainier 360 to come along and sweep gamers off their feet. You just can't please some people though. Cries for a slimmer system have echoed for every console, and even the 360 has not escaped them. There hasn't been anything official to substantiate the notion that the system would be trimming down, but lately some images have been surfacing...
According to a Chinese tech forum pointed out by Kotaku, this "Valhalla" motherboard features an integrated CPU/GPU chip, a more efficient heatsink, and an extra SATA port. All this, paired with Microsoft's hiring notice for a motherboard engineer, makes for one seductive rumor. Could this be all smoke and mirrors thanks to a mad modder? Or is this a glimpse at the future? And will we see a Natal/Slim 360 bundle this holiday season?
