During the visit, Keke chatted with students about social media and how utilizing it can help to inspire positive change in the lives of others. Several students shared their Pinterest boards and talked about how they were inspired by Verizon's campaign to excel further. Brian Pasco from Verizon, presented Corliss H.S. principal Mr. Leonard Harris with a $25,000 check towards keeping the students connected to technology. The campaign brought in Summer Jackson of WCIU to host the event, and engage several students in discussions about technology. Afterwards, Verizon provided students with lunch and volunteer mentors to further discuss how technology impacts lives.

Special thanks to Larvetta Smith (L3 Eventeurs) and Erica Sevilla (Multicultural Marketing Strategist, Verizon) for bringing the event to life. For more information on Verizon's Potential of Us campaign, click HERE.
