Its summer and the kids may be getting bored. One place in South Bend Indiana that you can take the whole family to is Potawatomi Zoo. Potawatomi Zoo also has a park and a pool. You can come out to Potawatomi Zoo during the week to keep the kids entertained, or you could have a family event on the weekend.
The Potawatomi Zoo is located at 500 S. Greenlawn Ave. South Bend, Indiana 46615. The Potawatomi Zoo is open daily from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. For adults its $8:00 and for children 3-14 and seniors 62 and over its $6:00. Children 2 and under are free. The Zoo opened April 1, 2011 and closes for the season November 27, 2011.
Strollers and wheelchairs are available for a fee. There is an ATM located in the Jungle Gift Shop. There is a Congo cafe shop and the Jungle gift shop. There is a Zoo train which is $2.00, 2 and under is free. $3 pony rides, and a free petting area for the goats.

There is also a Potawatomi Pool, which is located at Potawatomi Park near Kid’s Kingdom. The pool is open Sunday – Saturday 12:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. It costs $5 for 18 and over, $4 3-17 year olds, and is free for 2 and under. The pool is open from June 11, 2011 to August 12, 2011.
