The opening comes with a name change from the current old “Potawatomi Bingo Casino” into the new updated name that reflects the new modern hospitality and entertainment tower hotel the “Potawatomi Hotel & Casino”. This addition comes also with a new logo design to replace the current one. The famous casino fire that reflects the history of the Forest County Potawatomi, the owners of the casino tribe will stay on the new logo.
Currently the construction is progressing on schedule as planed for the new tower with an opening date set for this fall. The building is located at the existing building casino site in the Menomonee Valley on the Milwaukee west side at the intersection of Hwy 794 and N. 16th Street.
In addition to the actual hotel building the development is too include a new six-story parking structure to meet the building occupant load requirements and visitor parking around the casino complex and facilities. The parking structure is to include 1,300 parking spaces to comply with the Menomonee Valley Entertainment Casino building and visitors demands.
The 18 stories, 381-room Hotel Casino started the construction of the new hospitality and gaming design at a budget of nearly $155 million. Ground breaking and the construction of the new tower started on July 12, 2012. The casino hotel tower features a curtain glass façade on a large cantilevered canopy entry, with amazing views of the Milwaukee downtown area, restaurants, bars, exercise area, meeting halls and conference rooms for businesses, all available with an opening this fall.
