A postal worker was fired after dumping Obamacare mail in the trash. On Oct. 11, MSN reported that a mailman in Fresno, Calif. was seen throwing mail in the trash. Said mail included pamphlets and other informational material about the Affordable Care Act (more commonly known as Obamacare). The mail was addressed to residents on the postal worker's route. They never received that mail and the mail carrier was promptly fired.
The postal worker kept "looking over his shoulder" while dumping an unknown number of letters. A few residents at an apartment building noticed the mail carrier acting strange. "It was like he knew what he was doing was wrong," said resident Jerry Dills.
The postal worker who was fired said the Obamacare mail was thrown away because he was "running late" and didn't have time to deliver the rest of his route. Interestingly enough, there was no mention of any other mail being thrown away. Perhaps he was running late because he was weeding through people's mail to throw away the Obamacare-related items.
The U.S. Post Office did question the man before firing him. His excuse for throwing the mail away was not a good one but regardless of his excuse, no post officer worker is allowed to throw away someone else's mail.
The postal worker fired for tossing Obamacare care must really have thought his actions would prevent people from drinking the Kool-aid.
