Mohegan Sun celebrated its 10th Anniversary of Sun WineFest Jan. 25-27. The culinary extravaganza featured renowned chefs Todd English, Bobby Flay, Jasper White, Robert Irvine, Donatella Arpaia and more, plus VIP tastings, celebrity chef demos and a grape stomping contest. Chef Todd English took a walk on the wild side Saturday afternoon, demoing a sea urchin dish to a captivated audience. Later on, Chef Bobby Flay posed with delighted diners at his signature restaurant, Bar Americain, before heading off to treat eager fans to a culinary masterpiece at the festival's Celebrity Chef Dine Around on Saturday evening.
Ever imagine a place where everywhere you walk there’s a booth serving wine? No? Maybe? Well that was this year’s WineFest at the Mohegan Sun. Reds, whites, chocolate, sparkling, sweets and dry wines everywhere you turned. It was an amazing experience and those who attended would agree. Along with wines there was a tequila, Kahlua, Rum and Gin booth for those who wanted something stronger. The Mohegan Sun put together a great event that spanned for 3 days. Just think, wine, gambling and food. Yes, yes and yes wont you agree?
Overall great experience, and if you have the opportunity next year to go, you should.
