Now that Valentine's Day is over, you may be feeling the effects from indulging in all of those chocolates. Well, here's a refreshing way to detoxify your body and boost your energy levels.
The nutritional value from this green juice recipe will keep your body feeling healthy and refined. More specifically, the cucumber provides electrolytes keeping your body hydrated and the lemon provides your body with lots of Vitamin C. What better way to absorb immune-boosting nutrients than juicing, especially from fruits and vegetables you don't usually include in your diet. Think about it, would you normally consume a plate of five stalks of kale, three apples, one lemon and one cucumber? Juicing provides a more efficient and fun way to do so, and it doesn't taste bad either!
This recipe makes approximately two 8 ounce servings.
- 5 stalks of Kale or Spinach
- 3 Apples
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Cucumber
Wash all the ingredients and run them through the juicer (if you’re using a slow-juicer, run a bit of water through the juicer last, in order to catch all of the last bits of flavor). As with any juice, feel free to substitute any ingredients you don’t like for those that you do.
