After passing its 10th anniversary with nothing new after a long-term hiatus from story-line titles, Kingdom Hearts may actually be seeing life on a console once again. On January 24th, the voice actor for Kingdom Heart 2's Roxas, Jesse McCartney, sent out a pretty conspicuous picture over his Instagram account.
Jesse McCartney's Instagram account included a picture of a recording studio from a voice actor's perspective, and a screen shot of Roxas in front of him. The caption read, "For all you 'Kingdom Hearts' Fans. Recording the next chapter! #KingdomHearts #Roxas #Gamers."
Seemingly confirmed that there is indeed a new console version of Kingdom Hearts in the works, there has still yet to be any confirmation on SquareEnix's end -- including the removal of the image, no doubt at the request of SquareEnix. Fans of the series are unsure if this is a long-ago promised HD remake of the originals or if this could be a long awaited third installment or even if it's a new side-story title within the likes of the 358/2 and Dream Drop Distance.
Although fans of the series are not unfamiliar to the waiting game, it looks like it will have to, yet again, be played.
