Local health officials are reporting that patrons of the Cheesecake Factory in Boise may have been exposed to hepatitis A between December 13 and January 22. A Cheesecake Factory employee was confirmed as having the liver disease. The employee was not involved in food preparation, which makes the risk of exposure very low. But health department officials are concerned that guests in the restaurant could have been exposed. Possible symptoms of the disease can include such things as fever, loss of appetite, abdominal discomfort, tiredness, and nausea. Patrons who ate at the Cheesecake Factory between December 13 and January 22 who are experiencing these symptoms are advised to see their doctor. Health officials have stated that the Cheesecake Factory is fully cooperating with the investigation.
