Las Vegas residents and tourists can see a lot in Sin City, but none would expect to see a wedding ceremony break out in the middle of a bloody stage production. According to a press release from today, Oct 4, on EvilDeadVegas.com, producer and director Sirc Michaels’ is adding a little wedded bliss to “Evil Dead the Musical” on Oct 18.

“Evil Dead the Musical” has done plenty of unexpected things throughout its run, from hosting a mid-show engagement to continuously partnering with local Las Vegas charity, Opportunity Village; but hosting a wedding is definitely at the top of the list. How does a show about blood, guts, and demons wind up hosting a wedding? It all started with the closure of Las Vegas’ year round haunted attraction, the Goretorium.

The Goretorium had a fairly rough year, which is why the establishment closed its doors earlier this week. Affected by the closure are Andrea Vasquez and Rob Park, an Arizona couple that sought to utilize the Goretorium’s wedding chapel for their big day. Despite having put money down for their Oct 18 affair, the young couple was left nothing more than letters of apologies and unalterable travel plans.

While the couple scrambled to figure out new wedding plans, Sirc Michaels and Sebastian Sales of A Wedding Chapel caught wind of their story and knew there was something they could do. "Weddings should be a magical time," Michaels states. "Whether you're getting married in a garden grove or surrounded by zombies covered in blood, the wedding couple wants their memories of the event to be happy ones that they can cherish for a lifetime. This is a day that people plan for months and in some cases years. I had to do something to help them."

According to the press release, the couple and their 30 guests will enjoy a reception on the V Theater Veranda Bar at 8:00 pm, which will be followed by a viewing of “Evil Dead the Musical” during its normal run at 10:00 pm. Things get truly interesting during the show’s intermission, where the local wedding chapel will perform an authentic ceremony, allowing the couple to unite in front of their friends and family - and a few extra audience members - just as they had planned.

Sirc Michaels wants to ensure a packed audience, so for this day only, ticket prices are being drastically reduced. The coveted SplatterZone seating, which usually runs around $69.99 will be available for just $20.
