Women are selling their positive pregnancy tests on Craigslist and apparently there's no shortage of buyers. What could women want with a positive pregnancy test you ask? Well, one ad suggests it's a sure fire way to get your boyfriend to marry you.
According to ABC News on Sept. 2, the positive pregnancy test wands are going for $25 a pop. Many of the ads offering the positive pregnancy tests state “no questions asked.”
Is this new market limited to one section of the country, or is it a fad in just one city or state? The answer to that question would have to be, no.
The ads offering these used pregnancy tests for sale are coming out of Manhattan, Houston, Chicago and other cities. Craigslist has flagged a few of these ads and shut them down, but new ads pop up offering up the same thing, “Positive pregnancy test for sale.”
Is this a new way to rope your guy into marrying you? This is more than devious, why would someone want to start off a marriage under the lie that they are pregnant?
Some of the ads suggest pranking mom and dad with the positive test. One person advertising the test for sale suggests you can use it to ask around for money for an abortion than go on a trip. The most popular seems to be the suggestion that you tell your boyfriend you're pregnant, show him the proof, then it's off for the marriage license.
Hopefully the guys out there who are sleeping with these devious women buying up the used pregnancy tests will request to observe. The only way to make sure the pregnancy test is your girlfriend's is if you see a new test taken out of the package and done right then and there where you can witness it. The guys out there know who they are, the ones with the girlfriends that are devious enough to do this.
Of course the majority of the ladies out there would never think of doing such a thing, but for those other few, hopefully their boyfriends can call their bluff when it comes to a ready-made positive pregnancy test being presented to them with marriage in mind!
