For parents who embrace the Positive Discipline philosophy or for parents who want to know more about Positive Discipline parenting tools, there’s a website you’ll want to know about. The Positive Discipline community has created the Positive Discipline Network – a site where parents can ask questions, discuss parenting issues, offer advice, and share resources.
About the Positive Discipline Network
The Positive Discipline Network is a free resource where parents can post Positive Discipline events, join discussion groups and read articles all focused on parenting with Positive Discipline tools. Visitors will notice information posted by other parents, by Positive Discipline workshop facilitators, by Certified Positive Discipline Trainers and even Dr. Jane Nelsen, the author of the book, Positive Discipline.
The Positive Discipline Network describes itself as “a friendly, encouraging Positive Discipline community”. Visitors to the site are encouraged to read the “Getting Started” information to learn the simple process to join the discussions and to become aware of a few website guidelines.
Discussion Groups on the Positive Discipline Network
Parents will notice there are discussion groups centered around a variety of parenting topics including ones focused on Preschoolers, Teens, Stepfamilies and "Grandparents Raising Grandchildren". Other discussions are titled with a location such as "Positive Discipline in the Northeast". If you don't find a group that you're looking for, you can start your own group with a different theme about Positive Discipline.
If you’re a parent who uses Positive Discipline in your home or a parent who wants to learn more about Positive Discipline parenting tools, visit the Positive Discipline Network site. Connect with a great resource that will help you raise your kids using the Five Criteria for Effective Discipline. Parents can click on the video to the left to watch Jane Nelsen explain the Five Criteria.
