When you're married to one of the wealthiest athletes in the world (David Beckham is number 6, if you want to get technical), buying presents has got to be a real task. The man can literally buy himself pretty much anything he wants. So the trick? Is to buy him something he'll love, but had no idea he wanted.
Victoria Beckham, David's wife of 10 years, splurged recently on a pair of pigs. Micro-pics, to be exact. The designer breed is all the rage in the UK, especially amongst celebrities. Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies, has one. Granted, his first purchase after reaching the magical age of 18 and being allowed to access the money he had earned from the Potter films was, seriously, an ice cream truck.
The micro piggies allegedly cost Posh over $2,300 each. Their names, for now, are Elton and David, after Elton John and David Furnish. Surely this was meant as a compliment, but one can see how it could easily be misconstrued. Since the pigs are for David, he'll likely be changing the names of the little guys.
