This year marks the 62nd-annual edition of the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, a four-day tournament that features 64 of the best college basketball seniors. This year’s event will take place April 16th-19th at Churchland High School and provides the opportunity for players to perform in front of representative from every NBA team. However, prior to this year’s event, the first annual Portsmouth Basketball Summit will be held a few miles away in Hampton.

The event will be held at the Boo Williams Sportsplex from April 15th-16th and will be similar to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament format where every team will be guaranteed three games with a champion crowned at the end. The event will allow players an opportunity to get maximum exposure by playing in front of scouts and coaches from NBA, NBDL, and overseas teams. The event is not exclusively for college basketball seniors but is open to any players who would like to participate in hopes of obtaining a professional contract.

For more information on the event, visit the event website or the event Facebook page. Players interested in participating can also click this link to register.
