Portraits of Hope: A Photo Collection of Rescued Horses

What is it?

An exhibition of large-scale, fine art photographs depicting the beauty and grace of horses - rescued, retrained, and respected.

Kathleen Waldvogel is a fine art photographer specializing in portraits of horses. In her small studio in San Diego, California where she creatse and builds large scale pieces using canvas and resin. The focus on horses is a natural extension of her personal life. About two years ago Waldvogel left her corporate job to become an artist. She's that my work allows me the chance to tap into that energy and emotion, to frame the essence of the beautiful creatures and freeze a moment in time for their humans to treasure.

She's gotten a great response and has decided to show her pieces. I want to have my first public exhibit. While her goal is to gain new clients through this exposure to her photography, she knew that a greater purpose could be served. With this collection Waldvogel hopes to remind people of the important work being done by grass roots organizations to save such noble creatures from neglect, abuse and slaughter.
