Portland Taste of the Nation eat and drink to battle child hunger Apr. 29 '14

Portland's culinary artisans gather for the 27th year to battle child hunger at Share our Strength's Taste of the Nation ® on April 29, 2014 at McMenamin's Crystal Ballroom. Enjoy bites and sips from Oregon's top chefs, wineries, brewers and distilleries designed around the theme of "What My Family Ate."

It's sobering to think that one out of five Oregon families are insecure about being able to put nourishing food on the table. 100% of the ticket sales support Share our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. The local beneficiaries include Oregon Food Bank, Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon, St. Vincent DePaul Society, and the Klamath/Lake County Food Bank.

Tickets are available for $85 for general admission, opening at 6:30 pm. VIP admission for $150 allows you in at 5:30 p.m. with extra tastes from Imperial
/ Portland Penny Diner, The Country Cat, Multnomah Whiskey Library, Ox, Paley’s Place, Pok Pok, Tasty n Sons / Toro Bravo. General admission includes bites from 24 great restaurants as well as almost 30 wine, beer, distillers, coffee, tea or soft drink sips.

A silent auction, photo booth, games and activities will keep the ballroom rocking until 9 pm.
