Although I haven't seen more than a few episodes of Portlandia, the popular IFC show does seem to capture the quirkiness that the City of Roses is known for. And no doubt the Hotel deLuxe was thrilled when featured in the Squiggleman episode on January 18, 2013. So now it's payback time, and the Hotel deLuxe is offering a new guest package called Pilgrimage to Portlandia.
Travelers may now experience the city "where young people go to retire," plus visit favorite Portlandia locations that inspire the Emmy Award-winning show starring SNL's Fred Armisen and Portland-based musician and comedienne Carrie Brownstein.
The Squiggleman episode was shot on location at Hotel deLuxe and features cameos by Chloe Sevigny and Juliette Lewis. In the episode, Fred and Carrie meet their "kiddie rock hero" at the hotel, where they learn to tap into their inner child. Guests who book the Pilgrimate to Portlandia package can now following in the footsteps of Fred and Carrie.
