Looking for an unforgettable beer experience this Spring? Check out the best beer tasting event in the country; the Portland, Oregon Spring Beer & Wine Festival.
Started in 1994 by native Oregonian Steve Woolard, the Spring Beer & Wine Festival has grown to include: cheese, spirits, live music, a culinary stage and vendors to browse between tastings.
The festival offers the opportunity to try beers from all over the globe, the main focus however is West coast beers. Brewers ranging from startup to mainstay are always in attendance. A list of brewers scheduled to be in attendance can be found here: www.springbeerfest.com/brewers.htm and include favorites like Walking Man from Stevenson, Wash., Ninkasi out of Eugene, Ore. and Lompoc from Portland, Ore.
Brew masters love to unveil special beers that are either special seasonals or very limited release at the festival, so get there early if you want to get in on the special releases, they go fast.
