With CES 2012 coming up in just a few days it is always nice to get an exclusive before the event. A while back I reviewed the iMainGo XP from Portable Sound Labs and thanks to them I am going to give you an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek at some of their products they are going to be bringing to CES 2012. Let's talk a look shall we at what we can expect from these innovators of sound. You can check out their website at Portable Sound Labs for all the details.
iMainGo Lineup Announcements
The PSL iMainGo2 is a small portable audio device that allows you to connect your device and amplify the sound so much it can fill up the room with deep base and clear tones. You don't have to worry about recharging this as it runs for up to 30 hours with four AAA batteries (included..BONUS).
As great as that device sounds PSL didn't stop there. They added another iMainGo 2 Bluetooth. They took the design idea of the iMainGo 2 and threw in Bluetooth connectivity that way you don't have to PLUG in your device. You are now free to rock out anywhere.
PSL wanted to roll out a huge lineup of portable devices for you so not only will you see the iMainGo 2 and Bluetooth variety they also added the iMainGo X, it is a portable speaker AND protective case for you iPhone, iPod Touch, or MP3 Player. You do get a rechareable lithium-ion battery so you can keep the party going long term. The iMainGo X also gets the Bluetooth treatment via the iMainGo X Bluetooth.
The things I enjoy about all four of these devices is the design of the device itself. I like the oldschool look of a tape deck. Making it very easy to store in your pocket and pull it out whenever you want to have a good listen to a few jams while hanging out with friends. No need to carry around this huge speaker to get quality sound you get all the sound you need in the super portable case.
Things don't end there either have you ever been out with some friends and always worried about someone spilling some water on your speakers and then it shorts out? PSL thought of that too with the iMainGo X20 Bluetooth. You get the ultraportable stereo system and portability of the iMainGo decivices with the added protection of water resistance.
Portable Speakers get a face lift and some new friends
When I did my review for the iMainGo XP you had to have your iPad connected to the iMainGo XP, well even this get the Bluetooth upgrade. So now you can use the iMainGo XP with other devices besides the iPad, you can enjoy the great sound and quality of the iMainGo XP in any device that has Bluetooth connectivity.
Portable Sound Labs has added a slew of new speakers to its lineup for consumers this year and they are very innovative and unqiue. The PSL Pipeline is no ordinary speaker dock my friends. It has a base unit with dual 2” subwoofers and two DETACHABLE speakers (Drops). PSL Drops allow you to create your own surround sound experience. Now about these Drops, you can add more drops to the Pipeline or even connect the Drops to your media device and create a party instantly.
Each Drops contains dual 34mm active response drivers and powered by a lithium rechargable battery and a digital amp. You get clear highs and some deep base. Just imagine having your Pipleline connected to 10 or 15 Drops imagine the sound that thing would pump out?
Then you get another device called the PSL Base it is a massive 4” sub, plus you can pair this device with some Slices. Much like Drops the Slices are a detachable speaker system that can connect to your Base for even more sound. The PSL Base contains a pair of slices that have 36mm active response drivers, each powered by a rechargeable battery, and a digital amp for hours of music to keep the party going for hours on end.
Even Portable Sound Labs gets inspired by other wordly beings, namely Transformers. The PSL All Spark will not change your other devices into racecars nor will it blow up your house. What it will do instead is give you some serious audio options for you to choose. You can use the All Spark in its cube formation and attach your device wirelessly to create a banging sound system, or you can split them in half and use the hidden connection channel and place it on any surface to create an instant speaker dock.
Portable Sound Labs Aire Series
With Christmas over with and you no doubt where able to get your hands on some sort of tablet, whether it be the Xoom, iPad 2, or Kindle Fire and the Nook. Well the Aire Series of portable speakers is right down your alley. The Aire Sidekick is designed for the iPad it protects your tablet while delivering quality sound as well. Like a protective case with a hint of audio. Sounds good to me.
The PSL Sidekick also is available for the Nook and Kindle Fire to provide you with protection and audio for when you are watching your movies or listening to movies. Then you also have the PSL Aire Gate which has TWO speakers for you to surround yourself with immerse sound while watching movies on your tablet.
Don't worry gamers they got you covered
Audio Attack Armor is the first in the Gamer Series lineup. This is a military style tactical vest that surrounds you in 360 degress of sound. Even better they connected a bluetooth headset into the vest so you can communicate with your teammates without having to wear a headset. The Audio Attack Armor contains 3 36mm enhanced drivers startegically positioned on the vest to give you killer sound. I can't wait to see how this one looks and how it feels and sounds. This is a huge bump up from the gamer chairs that just rumble your seat but now you get a vest to wear that could literally rock your body with every shot. How awesome will that be? Simply amazing.
