Port Orange Police are looking for a vehicle which was involved in a hit-and-run accident Friday night. Port Orange Assistant Police Chief Wayne M. Miller says 66-year old Dean Warmkessel and his wife, 63-year old Donna Warmkessel, were hit in the 400 block of Oakland Park Boulevard Friday shortly after 6 p.m. The husband was being treated afterwards in the Intensive Care Unit at Halifax Medical Center, and the wife had non-life threatening injuries according to police. The two were crossing the road in the Oakland Park subdivision, east of Spruce Creek Road. Port Orange Police and Fire Rescue units responded to the scene and the Police Department is continuing its investigation of the accident.

The only description of the vehicle involved in the accident is that it had a loud muffler, and may be missing an antenna. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Port Orange Police Department at 386-756-7400.
