Porsha Williams surrenders to police, released on bail over battery charges

Porsha Williams, one of the cast members of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” was served with an arrest warrant in connection with an altercation. The actress and singer attacked co-star Kenya Moore at the taping of the “RHOA” reunion show.

Porsha Williams surrendered to the Fulton County Sheriff’s department on Wednesday, April 16 according to a report from CNN. Williams’s mug shot was taken and then she was released on $2,000 bail. Williams, 31, is charged with simple battery against co-star Kenya Moore, which is a misdemeanor. The attack happened during the taping of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion on March 27.

Though Moore called the police on the day the alleged attack happened, the former Miss USA did not complete a witness statement immediately. Kenya told the officer responding to the call that she was unable to fill out the statement at the time because she was needed to be on a movie set. The officer advised Moore that she could call when she had time to complete the witness statement.

Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams spent much of the last season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” locking horns over a number of issues. During the season, Williams, who is now divorced from husband Kordell Stewart, was infuriated when Moore, who has never been married, offered her marital advice

A clip of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion show has been posted on the Bravo website. Kenya Moore is shown antagonizing Porsha Williams using a scepter and a bullhorn. Using the bullhorn, Moore tells Williams, “What I will not do is let you talk over me, okay?” Cast member Cynthia Bailey is seated between the two remains calm, but Williams’s reaction is to roll her eyes at Moore.

Later in the clip Porsha calls Kenya a “slut from the 90s” and Moore tells Williams to shut-up and waves a scepter at her and pulls out the bullhorn again. The two women then get up off the couch and go toe to toe as host Andy Cohen attempts to intervene. Bravo will not air the brawl that took place at “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” taping. Part one of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion will air on Sunday, April 20 Bravo.
