Porsha says her husband is a traditional man, not controlling

The girls ride a party bus to Vegas and plan a fun night at the strip club, but wait, Porsha is NOT having it. Her initial reason? Kordell wouldn’t be okay with it. Later she says as a Christian woman she can’t condone women exploiting their bodies for money. NeNe jokingly says it’s a good excuse to have when her controlling husband is running things many states away. The girls try to convince her to go because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but Porsha goes back to the hotel while the ladies make it rain in The Crazy Horse strip club.

Porsha calls Kordell to help reinforce her message about not being pressured to do what she doesn’t want to do. Cynthia believes however, “If she had Kordell’s blessing to go she would’ve been there.”

The next night NeNe leads an informal intervention for Porsha in the limo. NeNe makes no qualms about what it was like for her being a housewife and being controlled when the man makes all the money. Porsha was proud that her husband “let” her go on this trip. That bothered Kenya but Porsha stood her ground on the issue.

NeNe concluded the conversation with words of wisdom from her own marriage experience. “All I want to see you do is stand up for what you want because trust me he loves you [and] he’s gonna fight the whole way, but he’s gonna shut the hell up and get with the program now. Him being traditional is great but if you don’t feel like cooking tonight, Kordell, guess what? You’re gonna make your own damn sandwich…goodbye.”
Porsha didn’t argue back. Out of respect for these older ladies she listened but wanted them to stay in their own lane and worry about their own relationships.

Kandi uses the girl’s trip as the perfect opportunity to plug her Bedroom Kandi products, but the night turns away from the marketing moment and turns into a verbal altercation between Kenya and Phaedra when Phaedra distastefully brings up Walter’s name. A name no one is to bring up in Kenya’s presence. Old wounds were reopened once again. Kenya feels like Phaedra has been disrespectful for attacking her character. Phaedra feels like she deserves an apology from Kenya for stealing her workout video concept and for mocking her at a charity function. The night ended with no apologies and no understandings.

Should the ladies mind their own business and not meddle in Porsha’s marriage? Does Porsha need to get a backbone? Should Phaedra and Kenya apologize to each other and get over it? Please comment on tonight’s episode.
