As might be expected, Disney Princess costumes are very hot this year. At the high-end, Chicago families can opt for gorgeously detailed and well-made authentic Disney Parks costumes of Ariel (the Little Mermaid), Cinderella, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Jasmine, Belle, Tiana, and Snow White, all retailing for around $59.95 and able to be accessorized with props such as matching light-up wands, costume shoes, purse and glove sets, and character wigs.

The highest level Disney girls' costume for 2010, however, is the Deluxe Limited Edition Belle Costume, retailing for around $149.50, made from only the best materials (gold lamé, organza, satin, tulle), and released to celebrate the new Diamond Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo version of Beauty and the Beast.

The next level of Disney Princess costume collection offers outfits for perennial favorites Snow White, Ariel (the Little Mermaid), Belle (from Beauty and the Beast), and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), as well as Princess Tiana costumes and harder-to-find Pocahontas costumes, Mulan costumes, and Jasmine costumes, all retailing for about $39.95. Debuting this year is the Disney Rapunzel Costume, designed for the newest Disney Princess from the upcoming animated film Tangled, and also retailing for around $39.50. A rich purple color, it can be accessorized with matching light-up Rapunzel shoes, a light-up Rapunzel wand, and a gorgeous Tangled Rapunzel hair-piece that is arranged as a long, flower-woven braid.

Other Disney girls costumes available for sale this year are Minnie Mouse, Alice in Wonderland, Tinker Bell, and Jessie from Pixar's Toy Story 3 costumes.
