The Westside’s popular Café Vida (Pacific Palisades and El Segundo) opened its third branch along Culver City’s Restaurant Row. Known for its globally inspired organic California cuisine with a Latin flair, the inviting and unpretentious cafe quickly became to the to-go spot for Sony employees and executives who flock there for breakfast and lunch.
The restaurant features a seasonal, farm-fresh menu and daily specialties – which include low-fat, organic and vegan options – created by partner/ Chef Francisco Cornejo—a palate-pleaser since he started at Pacifc Palisades location 13 years ago. His new locale serves wine, beer, Soju cocktails and juices from a sleekly modern woodsy-green indoor-outdoor setting.
Menu items include Organic Quinoa Grilled Chicken Salad, Skirt Steak, Grilled Chicken Chipotle Quesadilla, Warm Café Steak Salad, Chicken Pear Salad and Organic Vegetable & Tofu Bowl, plus daily Fresh Fish, Pasta, Soup, Salad and Vegetarian specials. Entrees range in price from $11 to $25. Already among the most popular items are Shrimp Chipotle Soft Tacos with sautéed shrimp, chipotle, onions and peppers on corn tortillas with mozzarella, chopped cabbage, lemon yogurt sauce and fresh salsa.
If you’re ‘juicing’ or just craving some Café Vida’s Juice Bar pours a variety of fresh-squeezed drinks and smoothies including Green Juice, Super Detox, The Alkalizer, Immunity Cocktail, Immunity Shot, Pitaya Smoothie, Skin Perfection, Green Power Shake, Perfect Date, Acai Smoothie and Almond Butter Cup.
