Poplstein and Prentice to speak at Elbert County Republican breakfast Saturday, August 14, 2010

Elbert County Republicans will gather to hear Chuck Poplstein, Colorado GOP victory director, and Dr. Paul Prentice, fellow, Independence Institute, speak at a breakfast in Elbert County Saturday.

After serving as the Republican National Committee’s victory director in Missouri in 2008, Poplstein joined the Colorado Republican Committee in 2010. Prior to 2008, he worked for the presidential campaign for Rudy Giuliani as a field director in the early primary state of South Carolina.

Saturday, Poplstein will give a report on the “State of the Colorado GOP Party."

Dr. Prentice served as the chief macroeconomist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture under Presidents Carter and Reagan. He has also been a visiting scholar at the U.S. Department of Treasury under President Clinton. PauI earned his M.A. in mathematics and his Ph.D. in agricultural economics, both from the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Prentice will speak on “Progressivism -- Destroying America."
