GALVESTON - On October 21 Galveston Police were dispatched to Popeyes Chicken at 3027 Ave J (Popeyes) to investigate an Aggravated Robbery. Two Hispanic men entered the store and demanded the money from the register. One of the two displayed a pistol.

Galveston detectives developed two suspects, Roberto Perez and Jeffrey Quintanilla, both 21, through witness information. Both men are known associates of the violent MS13 gang.

Five days later, on October 26 night patrol officers were informed of the robbers during a shift briefing and within two hours Perez was arrested.

He is charged with Aggravated Robbery and is being held in the Galveston County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.

Accomplice Jeffrey Quintanilla is still being sought.
