Pope Francis calls us to hold faithful to God

As Pope Francis was fully positioned in his place as leader of the Catholic church he encouraged everyone to have courage and not give up on their faith. His concern of the struggles to come was seen by all and his prayer that we must be strong in the face of adversity and have courage to overcome the obstacles faced from it.

While the world is challenged each day with ever increasing numbers of homeless, hungry, abused, and misplaced, we must come together as “one” to stop the madness.

One person alone cannot fight this battle. It must be an army of spiritual warriors ready to give unconditionally of their emotions, empathy, sympathy, and compassion to serve a world filled with such tremendous pain.

No matter the amount of sin and mistakes we make God is always with us and always will be. Faith in the church itself has been tested greatly by all the sexual abuse scandals and bureaucratic issues within the church.

Pope Francis has a huge task before him. Not only is it his task to pull the faithful together and help them to remain as such, “faithful”, but he must work to bring the strength back to the church in morals and ethics as well.

The new Bishop of Rome has already become an inspiration for many, those seeking to join the Society of Jesus and serve as what's known as a Jesuit priest. The impact of a Jesuit holding office as Pope is history making. It is a symbol to all of us. Never give up hope that someone, somewhere , is the key or special piece of the puzzle of life's journey, and will be put into place when the moment is right.

Is this the right moment when a new found hope and commitment to the “Great Provider” is needed? Most of the world believes yes. Is Pope Francis the “new found hope” that will strengthen the church again? Some say, “Yes.”

Nourish your faith, and feed your faith by studying the word of God and by working closely with other messengers to help strengthen your faith. Prayer is also another connection to use in building and strengthening our faith. Prayer is a direct link to God.

Prayer is like dialing God's private number with a direct line that is never busy. There is always an answer and he always listens. God also answers and gives us great encouragement and wisdom. All we need do in order to receive and activate that wisdom is open our hearts and minds to the connection between our spirit and the great giver of all life.

Love yourself and others, believe in yourself and others, and have a cherished bond with the Spirit.

Pope Francis has a long and winding journey to complete. Some activists say he has been slow to act, in the past, with regards to the abuse cases. He has called for swift action and for punishment of those who have abused others. This is just the beginning. He has a special lesson to share while helping rebuild hope and faith in the church, in God, and in ourselves.
