If you tuned into the news in the greater Seattle area on Friday you were in for a shock when they showed pictures of the Space Needle with a zombie head painted on it. Seeing those pictures made many people wonder is Seattle was being invaded by zombies? In a way yes there was an invasion underway but not to worry because the plants will save us. It is Seattle-based Popcap's way of introducing the sequel to their highly popular casual game Plants vs Zombies.
"We wanted to make the day special," he says of the decision to launch at the Space Needle, "and we wanted to give the developers a chance to have a moment with the game, so this just added up."
On May 5, 2009 Seattle-based Popcap created the original Plants vs Zombies as a game for both Microsoft's windows and Apple's OS X. Soon the game expanded to game consoles and mobile devices. Over four years but Popcap finally has come out with a sequel that expands on the original with the addition of several new features that include the following:
New plants including Bong Choy, that does close range hand-to-hand combat; Lightning Reed, that shots lightning bolts and Chili Bean, a plant that when eaten causes a severe gas attack
New worlds for this version of the game are Ancient Egypt, Pirate world and the wild west
New zombies include the chicken farmer that can attack with a barrage of chickens
