Camping might conjure up visions of a rustic tent in the woods, but pop-up campers are a comfortable way to camp without completely roughing it. Better yet, they're a very economical option that lets you save big when you go on vacations.
As you'll learn in the video above, you can buy a pop-up camper starting at $6,000 and pull it with your car. That might sound like a lot, but it's an up front investment that will pay big dividends in terms of budget travel.
Campgrounds are very reasonably priced, and you can find them near every major attraction. For example, Walt Disney World has the Fort Wilderness Campground that puts you in a prime location near the Magic Kingdom for a fraction of what you'd pay for the hotels in the same vicinity. You'll also save money on meals since you can cook them yourself.
You can find cheap hotels, but it takes some work, and then you have to worry about hidden fees that you don't discover until you arrive. You never know exactly what your hotel room will be like. Will it be clean? Could there be bed bugs? When you have a pop-up camper, you know exactly what accommodations to expect.
Consider getting a pop-up camper if you love to take lots of vacations and if you typically drive to your destination. The more you use your camper, the more quickly the purchase will pay off for your family.
