It is hard enough planning one wedding let alone two. But if anyone can do it, it is Sir Elton John. According to entertainmentwise.com on Saturday, the pop icon and his long time partner David Furnish are planning weddings in both the UK and Los Angeles.
The couple, who entered into a civil partnership back in 2005, is planning a marriage ceremony in the UK where gay marriage is now legal and has plan for a second ceremony in Los Angeles when gay marriage becomes legal there.
David feels the legalization of marriage is a "pivotal defining issue" of our time and wishes to embrace the moment. He told Hollyscoop:
"Los Angeles is like a second home to us. We have a civil partnership, but gay marriage has now been legalized in the UK. When we go back to Britain, we will definitely renew our vows under the gay marriage act but to do it here in Los Angeles, which is a second home to us, we'd love to do it here too!"
The happy couple, who just welcomed their second child into their family, is a leading example of how the commitment of marriage, straight or gay, works and in David's words want to renew their vows 'everywhere they become legal."
Besides planning weddings, Elton John has been busy with a new record.
As reported by NME on Sunday, Elton John has completed his 30th studio album titled "The Diving Board". It is set to release by September of 2013.
