Live on stage at the House of BLues

Cleveland ,OH -While most of the music industry has descended on the warm weather of Southern California for the annual NAMM music conference .A few select bands and artists decided to forgo NAMM and do what they do best . Thrill and amaze audiences and Cleveland’s House Of Blues is where is was at last night . Pop Evil, on tour with headliners Stone Sour and opening act Stolen Babies gave what this town needed . A night away from the snow and cold .In a scene out of the movie “ A Day After Tomorrow “ Cleveland was rocked by a cold blast that did not keep music lovers at home . The band hit the stage with a fury and did not let up for almost an hour . I had the opportunity to see this band a little over a year ago and I was looking forward to seeing this show for a long time . The set opened up with “ Deal With The Devil “ from the current release “ Onyx” a great rock song that keeps you off of your seat . That was followed by “ Divide “ and “ Hero “ which is from the debut album “ Lipstick In The Mirror “ .Up next came “ Flawed “ , “ Torn 2 Pieces “ and “ Goodbye My Friend .” The band performed with surgical precision and burst into the tracks “ Sick Sense “ and the humorous “ Boss ’s Daughter “ .The last two songs were “ Last Man “ and the great “ Trenches “ for which I suggest you watch the official music video on You Tube . The band hails from Grand Rapids MI and was formed in 2001 undergoing several lineup changes until they perfected the magic . The bands current roster is Leigh Kakaty - lead vocals Chachi Riot - drums ,Dave Grahs -rhythm and lead guitar, Matt DiRito - bass, Nick Fuelling - lead and rhythm guitar and are currently signed with eOne Music . I had the chance to speak with drummer “ Chachi “ and ask any advice he may give upcoming musicians and this is what he had to say . “ ….Education is really important , its not the 70’s anymore you have to educate yourself and watch out otherwise people can and will take advantage of you ….“ The bands official website is and they are currently on tour .If you want to catch a great rock band I suggest you see them if they come to your town !Just a hint they will be playing Rock On The Range in May in Columbus.
