Pop Art, popular in the 1960′s, was made famous by a few artists namely Andy Warhol & Roy Lichtenstein. One of the biggest characteristics of the work of Lichtenstein was the use of Ben-Day dots to create the illusion of shading and colorization of the characters. In order to recreate the look of one of these comic book damsels you really only need a few items that you most likely already have in your makeup collection. In honor of Halloween, Alyson Sichenzia, Luka Cosmetics lead Makeup Artist, shares 7 different steps to transforming your look into a pop art or comic book character.
Step 1) Prime whole face then brush on a yellow tone pale, white foundation onto the entire face and set with a sheer veil setting powder.
Step 2) Using a liquid black eyeliner outline hair line and all around the face including ears, eyes, nose lips etc.
Step 3) Using the liquid black liner, create a dramatic winged eye and draw in bottom lashes.
Step 4) Use eye primer on lid of eyes followed by a bright lavender shadow
Step 5) Apply dramatic false lashes.
Step 6) Take a red lipstick and fill in lips then take a white liner and add In accent lines on lip.
Step 7) using a small pencil eraser, dip into red face paint and symmetrically dot face separated into 4 sections. Proceed to the neck area.
