Ponies advance to class B quarterfinals

For the second straight day a number 13 seed defeated a number four seed in a class B preliminary round game.

The Winslow girls basketball team defeated Gardiner Tuesday night to advance to the quarterfinals at the Bangor Auditorium.

The Foxcroft Ponies boys basketball team had a lead at the end of each quarter and cruised to a 55-45 victory over Oceanside Wednesday evening.

Ryan Rebar scored 21 points to lead the Ponies. Hunter Smith chipped in with 12 points, Kaleb Smith added 10.

Foxcroft (9-10) will take on Caribou in a class B quarterfinal game on Saturday, February 16th at 1:30 p.m. Full class B tourney schedule.
