And pomegranates also contain various nutritious and pharmacological substances such as vitamins (B1, B2, C and niacin), minerals (potassium, in particular), amino acids (glutanic acid, aspartic acid), tannins (punicalagin, ellagic acid) and alkaloids (pelletierines).
