Where there is a philanthropic meets hip hop effort in Atlanta, Atlanta's own Mayor Kasim Reed, Ludacris, Big Boi, Keri Hilson and Polow da Don are surely to be mentioned.
On Tuesday November 24, 2010, these 5 and more headlined the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Carnival and Turkey Giveaway at Atlanta's historic Greenbriar Mall. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed presented Polow da Don with the prestigious Phoenix Award.
Guests enjoyed free amusement rides, games and refreshments. Through a partnership with Ludacris’ imprint DTP and The Ludacris Foundation, vegetables such as yams and collards were added to each of the 1000 turkeys that were given away.
Big Boi, Ludacris, Waka Flocka Flame, Gucci Mane, Bow Wow, Lloyd, Keri Hilson and Chris Brown all made appearances.
