On Super Bowl Sunday, February 7, 2010, Miami Gardens Pollo Tropical across from Sun Life Stadium (previously known as Land Shark Stadium), will be hosting a free family tailgate party and a Guinness world records event. They will be attempting to break a world record for the largest bowl of salsa, using a giant 9 foot wide by 5 feet deep stainless-steel salsa bowl. They will be using at least 600 pounds of chopped tomatoes, onions, garlic, and spices.
Miami Gardens Pollo Tropical will be offering free samplings, a bounce house, games and prizes, a $1000.00 Salsa dancing competition, and a give-away of free Pollo Tropical for a year. Also they will be making a meal donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade for each participant who shows up.
The Miami Gardens Pollo Tropical is located at 19500 NW 27TH Ave, across the Sun Life Stadium.
