On Monday, Rasmussen Reports released the results of a national telephone survey which found that 68 percent of Likely Voters "think illegal immigrants should not be eligible for driver’s licenses in their state."
Only 22 percent of respondents favored issuing licenses to illegal aliens.
The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on October 4-5, 2013 by Rasmussen Reports, with a margin of sampling error of +/- 3 percentage points.
The poll places the vast majority of the American electorate directly at odds with not only the Obama administration, but with California Gov. Jerry Brown who just signed into law a bill which will likely grant driver's licenses to millions of illegal aliens.
In February, over the objections of the state legislature, the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles announced that beginning in March, the state would start issuing driver's licenses to illegal aliens eligible for President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, better known as the 'DREAM Act amnesty.'
Of course, if just one state begins to issue licenses to those here illegally, it has the same effect as if all 50 states took the same action, as every state in the union reciprocally recognizes the validity of licenses from any other state.
