The Polk County Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team’s commander, Captain Michael McGee, announces the arrest of one individual after the Polk County Patrol Division was called to the scene of a meth lab explosion.
On the evening of December 17, 2010, the Polk County Police Department was called to the scene of a meth lab explosion at 2050 Old Cedartown Road, Rockmart GA. Once on scene the responding patrol officers contacted agents of the Narcotics Enforcement Team. Agents from the Narcotics Enforcement Team arrived on scene and obtained a search warrant for the premises. The search resulted in the recovery of evidence that a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory at been present at the residence. The individual was placed under arrest for manufacturing methamphetamines, and trafficking methamphetamine. Arrested was James Van Dover Jr., age 51, of 2050 Old Cedartown Road, Rockmart, GA 30125.
