Polk County Magistrate Court employee arrested
An accountant employed by the Polk County Magistrate Court has been arrested on child cruelty charges. On January 4, 2011.
Polk County police were dispatched to an address of Bethlehem Road in Rockmart in reference to a child abuse call. Once on the scene, responding officers requested an on call worker with the department of family and children's services to be dispatched to the scene for an assessment. After reviewing the evidence, Polk County police went to 470 Hightower Falls Road in Cedartown and arrested Deborah Jean Grogan.
Deborah Jean Grogan, age 58 is charged with a misdemeanor charge of battery and a felony charge of second degree cruelty to children.
