Listed below is the Polk County arrest report for Tuesday May 20, 2014. The report includes a complete list of arrests, information regarding prior arrests, bonding information and available inmate photos. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The arrest reports within this list do not reflect the actual guilt or innocence of the individual or individuals listed. All parties are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law. Not every arrest or charge leads to a conviction. A conviction or an acquittal will be determined by the court system.

The following individuals were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the embedded links within each list to view the complete prior arrests report. Links to arrests prior to 2009 will not be included.

Lisa Gail Brantley, 46, of Cleveland, GA was arrested on a warrant for probation violation. Brantley remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Travis Lavon Ferrell. 21, of Rockmart was arrested and charged with two counts theft by shoplifting and one count theft by deception. Ferrell was released on 5/21 after posting property bonds totaling $6,100.

Stephen Shane Leatherwood, 39, of Rockmart was arrested on a warrant for deposit account fraud. Leatherwood remains in custody at the time of this publication. A $ 369.86 cash bond has been set. See also (3/17/2012) (1/3/2011)

James T Lentz, 56, of Aragon was arrested and charged with one felony count theft by shoplifting, one misdemeanor count theft by shoplifting, one felony count theft by deception and one misdemeanor count theft by shoplifting. Lentz was released the same day after posting property bonds totaling $16,100.

Amanda Louise Lipscomb, 25, of Buchanan was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, driving on a suspended license, safety belt violation, theft by deception and theft by deception against a person over the age of 65. Jeffery James Lovingood, 23, of Aragon was arrested and charged with simple battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA). Lovingood remains in custody at the time of this publication. Billy Joe Moody, 22, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, driving without headlights when required, criminal trespass, obstruction, probation violation and a warrant for failure to appear. Moody remains in custody at the time of this publication. Kirk Owens Jr., 30, of Cedartown was arrested for violating a good behavior bond. Owens was released the same day after paying a $500 cash fine.

Jeff Harrison Pope, 46, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, head light violation and open container violation. Pope was released on 5/22 after posting property bonds totaling $2,100. See also (6/26/2013) (3/13/2011) (9/11/2009)

Vanessa Sue Pope, 26, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with theft by shoplifting and party to a crime. Pope was released on 5/22 after posting property bonds totaling $1,100.

Brady Ray Redding, 27, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with two counts possession of marijuana, possession of drug related object, DUI-drugs (less safe), attempting to elude, failure to obey stop sign, driving too fast for conditions, passing in a no passing zone and reckless driving. Redding was released on 5/21 after posting property bonds totaling $9,070. See also (7/19/2010)

Brandi Renee Shanks, 32, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug related objects. Shanks remains in custody at the time of this publication. Two cash bonds totaling $1,133.50 have been set.

Letrina Gail Truett, 49, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with six counts theft by shoplifting and three counts theft by deception. Truett remains in custody at the time of this publication. Property bonds totaling $18,200 have been set. See also (7/25/2013)

Jonathan Colby Vaughn, 23, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a vehicle with altered identification. Vaughn remains in custody at the time of this publication. Property bonds totaling $14,000 have been set. See also (11/12/2013)

Marco Antonio Vegara, 21, of Rockmart was arrested and charged with felony theft by shoplifting, misdemeanor theft by shoplifting and one count theft by deception. Vegara was released on 5/21 after posting property bonds totaling $10,100.
