Listed below is the Polk County arrest report for Friday March 1, 2013. The report includes a complete list of arrests, information regarding prior arrests, bonding information and available inmate photos. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
The following people were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the embedded links within each list to view the complete prior arrests report.

All parties are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law. Not every arrest or charge leads to a conviction. A conviction or an acquittal will be determined by the court system.
Marcus Tarik Douglas, 38, of Rockmart was arrested by Polk County Police Officer Williams and charged as a habitual violator. Douglas remains in custody at the time of this publication.
Daniel Gilbert Gibbs, 46, of Rockmart was arrested by Rockmart Police Officer Anderson and charged with simple battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA). Gibbs remains in custody at the time of this publication. See also (11/11/2012) (3/2/2012)
Karen Toniette Hughes, 42, of Cedartown was sentenced. See also (4/19/2012) (6/23/2011)
Dan Henry Pollard, 38, of Rockmart was arrested by Rockmart Police Officer Coppock and charged with felony first degree cruelty to children under the Family Violence Act (FVA). Pollard remains in custody with no bond set at the time of this publication.
Marie Gaynelle Proctor, 41, of Rockmart was arrested by Rockmart Police Officer Coppock and charged with felony first degree cruelty to children.
Christopher Scott Reed, 20, of Cedartown was arrested for felony probation violation. See also (area sex offenders)
Laura Ann Thomas, 32, of Dallas was arrested by Polk County Sheriff's Deputies on a warrant for failure to appear in probate court. Thomas was released the same day after paying a $125 cash fine.
Whitney Tonet Ware, 26, of Cedartown was arrested by Cedartown Police Officer Kinne and charged with DUI and driving too fast for conditions. Ware was released on 3/2 after bonding out through the Cedartown Police Department. See also (11/6/2009)
Robin J. Williams, 48, was arrested by Polk County deputies on a warrant for contempt of court regarding child support.Williams was released on 3/5 and must purge $2,238.
