The Polk County Crime Examiner personally compiles arrest reports that cover the Polk County, Ga. area, including Cedartown, Rockmart and Aragon.

Listed below is the report for Thursday Jan. 3, 2013. The report includes a complete list of arrests, prior arrests, bonding information and inmate photos. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The following people were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the links to view prior arrests and/or additional details.

Ricky Leonard Bagley, 48, of Cedartown is currently housed at the Polk County jail waiting court date. Bagley is an active inmate currently serving time at Spalding County Correctional Institute on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery. See also (10/11/2012) (7/3/2010) (11/8/2009)

Clarence Edward Calhoun Sr., 48, of Cedartown was arrested by Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Kirby on a warrant for contempt of court regarding child support. Calhoun remains in custody at the time of this publication. See also (8/8/2012) (8/24/2011)

Bryan David Cochran, 34, of Rockmart was arrested by Polk County Police Officer Williams and charged with felony first degree burglary and felony aggravated stalking. Cochran remains in custody with no bond at the time of this publication. See also (12/24/2012) (10/23/2012) (9/19/2011)

Sarah Elizabeth Franks, 29, of Rome was arrested by Georgia State Trooper Cline and charged with driving on a suspended license and head light violation. Franks was released on 1/4 after bonding out through the Cedartown Police Department.

Brandon Michael Harris, 30, of Rockmart was arrested by Polk County Deputy Kirby on a warrant for probation violation. Harris was released on 1/4. See also (11/2/2011) (8/7/2011) (6/5/2010) (2/18/2010)

Andrew Dan Smith, 36, of Silver Creek was arrested on a 48 hour hold and was released on 1/4.

Daniel Mark Strange II, 26, of Knoxville was arrested by Cedartown Police Officer Greene and charged with felony second degree burglary, criminal trespass and felony second degree criminal damage to property. Strange remains in custody at the time of this publication. Three property bonds totaling $9,100 have been set.

Duane Scott Walter of Cedartown was arrested by Cedartown Police Officer Greene and charged with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal damage to property. Walter remains in jail with no bond at the time of this publication. See also (5/16/2011) (12/30/2012) (7/12/2011)
