Polk County Ga. arrest report dated Jan. 29, 2013 (Photos)

The Northwest Georgia Crime Examiner personally compiles arrest reports that cover Polk, Floyd and Haralson Counties. Listed below is the report for Tuesday Jan. 29, 2013.

The report includes a complete list of arrests, prior arrests, bonding information and inmate photos. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The following people were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the links to view prior arrests and/or additional details.

Joseph M. Adcock, 29, of Carrollton was arrested by Rockmart Police Officer Gilstrap on a warrant for failure to appear in municipal court.

Terrill Navatine Armstead, 32, of Marietta was arrested by Polk County Deputy Deaton on a 48 hour probation hold.

James Larry Elrod, 23, of Rockmart was arrested by Rockmart Police Officer Jarrell on a warrant for felony parole violation. Elrod remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Russell Daniel O'Neal, 35, of Rockmart was arrested by Polk County Deputies on warrants charging him with child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and incest. O'Neal remains in custody with no bond at the time of this publication.

Preston Heart Shooks, 19, of Cedartown was arrested by Polk County Police Officer Martin and charged with driving while unlicensed and laying drag. Shooks was released on 1/30 after posting two property bonds totaling $1,700.

Justin Lane Stroh, 17, of Cedartown was arrested by Polk County Police Officer Boatner and charged with battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA). Stroh was released on 1/31 after posting a $1,100 property bond.

Justin Donald Wheeler, 25, of Cedartown was arrested by Floyd County Deputy Byars for violation of work release. Wheeler remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Arrest reports do not reflect the guilt or innocence of the individuals listed. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Not every arrest/charge leads to a conviction. A conviction or acquittal is determined by the court system.
