Polk County Ga. arrest report dated Feb. 21, 2013 (Photos)

The Northwest Georgia Crime Examiner personally compiles arrest reports that cover Polk, Floyd and Haralson Counties.

Listed below is the Polk County arrest report for Thursday Feb. 21, 2013. The report includes a complete list of arrests, information regarding prior arrests, bonding information and available inmate photos. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

The following people were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the embedded links within each list to view the complete prior arrests report.
Links to arrests prior to 2009 will not be included.

The arrest reports within this list do not reflect the actual guilt or innocence of the individual or individuals listed. All parties are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law. Not every arrest or charge leads to a conviction. A conviction or an acquittal will be determined by the court system.

Jerome Alexander, 56, of Rockmart was arrested by Rockmart Police Officer Walters and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and felon in possession of a firearm. Alexander remains in custody at the time of this publication. Two property bonds totaling $7,100 has been set.

Britney Nicole Allen, 18, of Cedartown was arrested by Polk County Police Officer Martin and charged with obstruction. Martin was released the same day after paying a $205.50 cash bond.

Cecil Calvin Bishop, 39, of Rockmart was arrested by Rockmart Police Officer Amos and charged with first degree forgery and unauthorized distribution of a controlled substance. Bishop was released on 2/23 after posting two property bonds totaling $6,100.

Alverado Heriberto, 21, of Jacksonville Ala., was arrested by Cedartown Police Officers Short and McClendon and charged with driving on a suspended license. Heriberto was released the same day after bonding out through the Cedartown Police Department.

Rashonda Joshua, 36, of Rockmart was arrested by Polk County deputies and charged with truancy. Joshua remains in custody at the time of this publication. A $500 property bond has been set.

Alex Lamar Poole, 21, of Aragon was arrested by Polk County Police Officer Martin and charged with aggravated battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA). Poole remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Georgia Marie Salmon, 35, of Cedartown was arrested by Cedartown Police Officer O'Neal on a warrant for probation violation.

Wesley Charles Thurman, 34, of Rockmart was arrested by Aragon Police Officer Lynch on a warrant for contempt of court regarding child support. Thurman remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Esequias Escalante Valasquez, 19, of Cedartown was arrested by Cedartown Police Officers Short and McClendon and charged with no license. Valasquez was released the same day after bonding out through the Cedartown Police Department.

Angelia Whatley, 53, of Cedartown was arrested by Polk County deputies and charged with truancy. Whatley was released on 2/23 after posting a 4500 property bond.
