Listed below is the Polk County arrest report for Friday August 1, 2014. The report includes a complete list of arrests, information regarding prior arrests, bonding information and available inmate photos. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Sheriff's Office located in the county of the arrest.

The arrest reports within this list do not reflect the actual guilt or innocence of the individual or individuals listed. All parties are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty in a court of law. Not every arrest or charge leads to a conviction. A conviction or an acquittal will be determined by the court system.

The following individuals were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the embedded links within each list to view the complete prior arrests report. Links to arrests prior to 2009 will not be included.

Shane Lewis Akins, 42, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with possession of meth, driving while license suspended, no working brake lights and a seat belt violation. Akins was released the same day after posting property bonds totaling $10,100. See also (6/9/2014)

Lois Ammons, 66, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with public drunk, public decency, disorderly conduct and a warrant for probation violation. Ammons remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Thad Alan Barkett, 47, of Rockmart was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Barkett remains in custody at the time of this publication. See also (4/25/2014)

Debra Elaine Brown, 47, of Cedartown was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in Cedartown municipal court. Brown remains in custody at the time of this publication. A $230 cash bond has been set. See also (6/15/2014)

Jordan Elizabeth Cerrito, 23, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with third degree cruelty to children, reckless conduct and simple battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA). Cerrito was released the same day after posting property bonds totaling $2,100.

John David McGee, 24, of Cedartown was arrested on warrants for two counts failure to appear in probate court. McGee was released the same day after paying cash fines totaling $1,000.

Donna Jean Padgett, 49, of Aragon was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.

James Seth Seymour, 22, of Cedartown was arrested on a warrant for probation violation. Seymour remains in custody at the time of this publication. See also (12/30/2013)

Harlan Eugene Shell Jr., 54, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with suspended license and defective equipment. Shell was released the same day after posting property bonds totaling $1,760.

Curtis Ray Taylor, 51, of Cedartown was arrested and charged with theft by taking and criminal trespass. Taylor was released the same day after posting property bonds totaling $3,600.
