Recently new regulations have been ordered on firearms ownership and uses; this has made many more interested in expressing this right as well. But before going out to purchase such an item, one should also beware of any weaknesses that might exist with the item. There are several sides to this matter, therefore much consideration should be used and expressed in deciding. But when all the facts and evidence are in, it still falls upon the individual to be the responsible one. Nothing replaces the eyes, ears and brain connection which we should all use, adding to this a consciousness is what makes us human and not animal. In the end, it will still be up those making this choice, even if that is not to purchase, who have to live with the consequences.
President Obama has ordered new regulations for firearms, this in response to politics and not reason. But as choices are made by authority to direct collective power upon individuals, these things happen. The public’s need to feel protected goes both ways, with the individual wanting personal protection and the collective need security. Problems exist when the individuals making up the collective no longer trust any other member in the collective authority. And with this comes the paranoia the defense market has always seen increases its sales and demands.
There are problems with carrying any weapon, not just from the item used but with those carrying. This video shows clearly how some problems can exist and be overlooked so easily. The extra confidence a firearms gives the wearer does offer better protection, instead the extra confidence has you taking risk you do not need. It is risk which place all around you in danger, and you must address them before accepting the responsibility. This means thinking ahead, and thinking when you carry for that day, being alert is what evolved life-forms have learned to do.
Examine the matter from all sides, and do regularly reevaluations as your situation changes, for life is full of change, so must be your security change. It is not just enough to protect against what you believe one day may happen, but other situations will become more likely as well. For if you feel the need to carry in a certain area of town you visit for business, you may not need to go there everyday. This change in conditions will result in less need for protection and less risk to those around you. Still this will not always to be the case as things happen, one way or the other out of our control.
Individuals are not capable of handling everything all on their own, it is because of this we join so willingly to a civil society to gain from the numbers involved. Loyalty to a social structure requires responsibility by both the collective and the individuals accepted as membership. Yet in the use of deadly force, it is the individual who ultimately makes this decision and a fast one at that. No time to ask for advice, or wonder what it means, for when this is done there is not turning back. The responses keyed in us all are a part of our nature to survive, keyed to a conscious mind we act with reasoning. But without this consciousness we are no different than the animals, no matter how much we profess to be higher live-forms it still resides in the mind.
A consciousness is more than just a brain; animals have such but do not possess the mind we humans claim to have. Instead we must seek to develop further, to be willing and wanting of more than just thoughts. We must seek to know the difference between the right and wrong based on our actions being forced upon others. If it is not our intentions to do this them we must realize our actions and we control what we offer others, including the force we command. The difference between being empathic or unavailable to the needs around us, we are aware or we are not of the others needs.
Our choices make consequences for ourselves and others to deal with, many which do not go away just because we do not want to hear from them. The choice to support another means we will give unto them the time and patience of our presence, not just the physical nature we have. But also of the mind-set we possess and are trained to use, these skills offer more as they create the sum total of knowledge we access. So if you intend to carry any weapon, we must use a consciousness to understand what is required and what is expected, not only at the purchase but at the time of use.
