Olympic Figure skating had the fans around the world tuning in to watch the final performances in Sochi. The athletes of the world had one more time to prove themselves in the free skate competition before the medals were handed out. Fans in San Jose, California as well as the United States were watching intently as Polina Edmunds took the ice. According to the official scoreboard of the Sochi Olympics she scored 122.21 for the program with the total of the two nights being, 183.25 which was her personal best score. According to the San Jose Mercury News it was a strong Olympic debut.

While the fans watched her intense performance, it was the moment that Polina fell on the ice that had people gasping. According to the NBC Olympic commentators, this was the same segment in the program that Polina fell in previous performances.

Polina Edmunds definitely made America proud. Taking the ice and giving her best, both programs she skated was impressive. As everyone knows she won’t be taking home a medal in Sochi, but the future might bring Edmunds the gold. The athletes needs more practice and more time to deal with pressure of having millions of people watch her perform.

America can definitely suggest that Polina Edmunds did her best and everyone is super impressed on how this young skater competed in Sochi.
