Montclair, New Jersey is known for its artistic aura. A new comic book shop in town will certainly add to its growing presence. With its name taken from a Bouncing Souls song, East Side Mags, which is owned and operated by Jeff Beck, is joining the ongoing fight to help bring independent artists, both local and national, to a wider audience. The store is also looking to support local musicians getting their voices heard.
Located a few steps away from the popular Wellmont Theater music venue, East Side Mags is set to have its grand opening this weekend, and there's expected to be a huge gathering for the three day event. You'll never know who might show up during this extravaganza. Maybe Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, might stop by to show support? Or could we get a glimpse of The Toxic Avenger?
