Cops said the grisly discovery was made on Oct. 3 at 8:50 a.m. by a person walking on a path at the Froehlich Farm Nature Preserve in Huntington. The woman’s body was allegedly left on the side of the path.
The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body will be taken to the Suffolk County medical examiner’s office. Authorities expect that an autopsy will be performed Friday to determine her cause of death.
Law enforcement officials said detectives are probing the death as suspicious, but no suspected motive has been released.
