Linda Overton, 67, was arrested Oct. 23 after she allegedly sold a bottle of vodka to the underage operative at Westhampton Beach Fine Wine and Spirits on Montauk Highway.
Police said they charged Overton with unlawful dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage. She was released from custody after being issued an appearance ticket and will face a judge at Southampton Town Court at a later date.
Investigators also visited nine other establishments Wednesday, which were all found to be in full compliance with the law. They were identified by police as: Hess Mart in Quogue; 7-Eleven in Westhampton Beach; Valero Gas in Westhampton Beach; East Quogue Pizza & Deli in East Quogue; East Quogue Wines & Liquors in East Quogue; Pete’s Deli in Hampton Bays; Hampton Deli in Flanders; Cork N Jug Wines & Liquors in Hampton Bays; and Hampton Bays Shell Gas in Hampton Bays.
